603 WW Delts of Wabash College

Posted by Roger Wilson '76 after the great induction ceremonies for the Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame:  "Friday September 13 was a special evening for Wabash College and Delta Tau Delta Beta Psi Chapter.  The occasion was the annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony where the Soccer team of 1972 was inducted.  That team turned around a mediocre program and established a goal for succeeding teams to reach. The team included 15 Delt Brothers, many of them Freshman who made an immediate impact.   Only 6 opposing goals were scored that season and as Dick Sword ‘76 stated in his remarks, 3 were penalty goals.  A big shoutout to Mike “Gumby” Shaver who starting the nomination process for this team, spending considerable time researching their accomplishments and seeing it through until the team was accepted." Delts from all years joined together for this photo at the Saturday Big Bash luncheon. The Delts of Wabash 1979 made a huge showing at this year's Big Bash.  All but one of the returning 1979 alumni were Delts.  In addition, many Delts from a variety of graduation years were in attendance. Return to  603WW.org 603 WW rented Camp Rotary for the Big Bash weekend so all Delts had a "home port" over the weekend. While some opted for commuting from home or staying in a local motel, many Delt alumni camped here in the bunkhouses. Randy, ("mayor of C'ville and local celebrity), Dan (chairman of this year's 603 events), Murph and Craig, raise the all-important Delt and Wabash ensigns.
