After the Game

Shawn, John, Kirk It seemed everyone was saying it was the perfect weekend, with the exception of the outcome of the game.  Many Delts and their guests returned to the big tent for more fellowship and to drown the sorrowful game result.   Return to  603WW.org Bill Hill hosted classmates and their guests for a dinner at the Crawfordsville Country Club.  On Sunday morning, many 603WW folks attended the Delt Service in Wabash's Pioneer Chapel presented by Steve Cox '76.   The last few to depart Crawfordsville enjoyed a final meal at the Family Forum restaurant on the east side of C'ville. Monon Bell Awards & game :-(

Saturday was the BIG DAY, the Monon Bell Football Contest between the dainty dannies of DePauw vs the Cavemen of Wabash.  Of course the day began early for many folks like Jim Evans, Charley Hutchins, Randy Allen, Steve & Brenda Wakefield, Chuck Candiano and Darrell Hobson.  These folks and many others arrived at Mud Hollow Tailgating Area and easily found the largest tent on the grounds, the huge Delt structure.  The team set up donuts, coffee, tables, chairs, heaters, stage, microphone & speakers and especially, the bar!  By 10am Chuck and Darrell were serving superb bloody marys.   Return to  603WW.org The tent was packed with 603WW members, guests, Delt alumni and their families as well as interested folks from the college and community.  The reason was the highly anticipated awards presentation.  Roger Wilson, Awards Committee Chair grabbed a mic and began by announcing that three important 603WW members had earned Distingui...
